26 Years ago today, January 4, 1992, we were tired of being happy…
so we got married! LOL!
We did receive more snow, but it was drifting out of the Snow Gauge. I had to shovel some more into the gauge.. We probably have 2 cases now, if it didn’t drift.
Here’s a collection of January 4th Photos that come up on my computer when I type in “Jan4”. It’s probably a good thing that I didn’t save 20 years of digital photos under the date. I’d have a thousand pop up a day!
But a few of them were saved by date, and it’s always a surprise as to what comes up…
Jan4billy – Cute Billy after a snow storm. I do not know what year this is….
Jan4snow – 2014. 3 Cases buried. I always referred to 2014 as the “Ice Age Year”. By the end of winter, we buried 5 Cases, and were working on our 6th. It was a very snowy and cold winter. (I stopped photographing the snow after this year, and Chica ran away.)
Jan4teddy.jpg – We went to the Big Bear for our Anniversary and had Teddy Burgers! Yummy! Because the photo is so small, I would guess 2004. Someone said that a fellow is reopening the Big Bear Restaurant, but I haven’t heard anything about it yet.
Here’s an old photo of our Parking lot – 2004 or 2005? I remember we needed “Parking Maps” for the Snowmobilers, so that we could accommodate 28 Trucks and Trailers on the property. Crazy Fun times!
Jan4-gauge.jpg Not much snow in 2006 – I imagine they weren’t even packing the trails yet this year.
jan4fill.jpg – Oh wow! I remember this! In 2013, we got TRUCKLOADS of Fill from our Insurance Company for our Anniversary!! Yahoooooooo! You could never imagine how happy 2 people were to get DIRT. LOL! The truckloads had to keep coming for days, to surround the 2 rooms that were hanging into the canyon. Once there was safe ground, all around the rooms, the demolition began.
Last but not least – a Jan 4th photo of our 15th Anniversary at the New Marconi Restaurant in Sault Ste Marie.
Snowmobilers – Trails will start to open up soon – Keep checking https://trails.evouala.com/ofsc/
