Wawa Snow Gauge (Jan 11 – 31)

Still 2 Cases buried in Wawa, with amazing Trails to ride! I did a search for January 20’s, and a few old photos came up. January 24, 2013 Canyon Cam – 4 Cases Buried during the Ice Age of 2014! I forgot my Camera cord in the Soo, so I can’t take photos. But the videos are so much better than the Snow Cam! I was in Sault Ste Marie for a few days, visiting my Mom and Pop. Mo’s Cartoons & Comical Hotel Experiences

*Life literally abounds in comedy if you just look around you  ~ Mel Brooks* Need Some Furniture?  In 2000, two young fellows driving a U-Haul, asked if they could see a room. (In the early years, without Online Reviews, many people asked to check the rooms first to make sure they were clean). I happily handed them a key, as I clean the rooms myself, and I was confident that they would stay. After looking at the room, they came back to the office and Continue reading →

Wawa Snow Gauge (Dec 1 – January 4)

26 Years ago today, January 4, 1992, we were tired of being happy… so we got married! LOL!   Here’s a collection of January 4th Photos that come up on my computer when I type in “Jan4”. It’s probably a good thing that I didn’t save 20 years of digital photos under the date. Lake Superior Photos

When we close the Motel for the Season, I LOVE driving to Sault Ste Marie to visit my wonderful family and friends. Driving through Lake Superior Park is a dream in summers. I try to swim in every bay possible. In Winters, it’s like driving through a beautiful Christmas Card. I always tell people about when I lived out West for 20 years, each time that I drove across the country, tears would run down my cheeks once I hit Lake Superior Park and Old Continue reading →

Our Waterfalls

Northern Lights Waterfalls & Spider Falls  Our Motel & Chalets are located 10 kms (6 Miles) outside of town, in the Boonies. We have a small river/stream that runs along the back of our property, then crosses under the Highway, and eventually flows into the Magpie River. There are 2 Waterfalls located in between our Motel and the Magpie River. They are a short walk/hike from the Motel.  The Northern Lights Waterfalls is a 7 minute walk from our Office.  I made a “Page” for Continue reading →

Before and After Photos

Finally!! September 2017 – It took 5 years before I could make a Proper Before and After Photo of our business after the Disaster.   Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves when we think about having our Entrance back!! After the Flood, the MTO didn’t rebuild our entrance. The damage to the land was so great. The fill that was needed was incredible!  The culvert was overwhelmed (As were all the culverts around Wawa), and every highway was closed. Wawa was an island. The MTO Continue reading →
